On November 12–14, 2025, the R&D Center of the China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone hosted the technology hackathon “Space Hackathon with Great Stone & MIRAN”.
The event was organized by the Industrial Park in partnership with Belarusian State University and MIRAN LLC. It became a highlight for young developers, researchers, and everyone interested in the prospects of innovative entrepreneurship.
Around 150 students and IT specialists from 13 leading Belarusian universities took part in the event, forming 42 teams.
Over the course of two intensive days, the teams focused on finding a technological solution to a real production challenge presented by MIRAN LLC, a resident company of the Industrial Park.
To help participants better understand the task and build an effective development process, an educational program and training sessions were prepared. This allowed the teams not only to solve the assigned problem but also to gain valuable experience applicable to their own projects and startup initiatives.
The culmination of the hackathon was the final presentations by the 16 best teams before an expert jury. The jury included representatives from the Great Stone, MIRAN LLC, BSU, GRATA International BY, and the Hi-Tech Park startup center.
The jury evaluated the solutions based on criteria such as compliance with the technical assignment, completeness of implementation, originality of approach, usability, and the potential for implementation in real industrial conditions. Based on the results, the top three teams were selected:
1st place – Team led by Egor Kosenko (F.E. Dzerzhinsky Lyceum, BSU)
Solution: A scalable system designed for conducting industrial inspections and tracking the resolution of issues. It includes visual summary analytics, an AI assistant, convenient management of checklist templates, and an automatically generated inspection schedule. The system consists of two interfaces: one for inspections with issues and another for analytics with a builder.
2nd place – Team led by Timofey Tyshko (BSU)
Solution: A chatbot for inspectors and department heads, along with a web page for administrators. The bot automates inspection processes, while the web page simplifies and visualizes reports and enables inspection management.
3rd place – Team led by Timur Shleyko (BSUIR)
Solution: A computer vision system based on custom-developed hardware modules for continuous monitoring of workplace cleanliness and detection of emergencies.
Hosting the Space Hackathon at the Park's R&D Center was an important step in developing the innovative infrastructure of Great Stone, as well as fostering startup initiatives and entrepreneurial thinking among students. For the participants, the hackathon offered an opportunity to showcase their abilities, meet industry experts, immerse themselves in the specifics of high-tech enterprises, and see how innovations can be applied in the real economy.
Events like these play a crucial role in identifying and supporting talented young individuals, encouraging them to develop their own technological solutions. They also integrate real industrial challenges into the educational process, helping to shape the workforce of the future.
The Great Stone Industrial Park, being a platform for fostering innovative entrepreneurship, will continue its collaboration with the education system and student community in the Republic of Belarus and further implement various technological events and initiatives.
