Construction of a High-Speed Railway to Minsk National Airport with a Stop at the Great Stone Industrial Park Begins

Work has started on one of the most anticipated infrastructure projects — a high-speed passenger railway connecting Minsk, Gorodishche, the Great Stone Industrial Park, and Minsk National Airport.

Initial construction is expected to begin in 2025.

According to the project, the railway will follow the existing route from Minsk-Passazhirsky Station through Kolodischi to Gorodishche Station, after which about 18 kilometers of new track will be built toward the airport.
The total route length will be 41.8 kilometers, with a travel time of less than 30 minutes.

Since the infrastructure on this section will be developed almost from scratch, the project will take several years to complete, with the first trains expected to run in 2028–2029.

The new railway will create a modern transport link between the capital, the Great Stone Industrial Park, and Minsk National Airport, further strengthening the park’s position as a major logistics and investment hub in the region.
